The intra-Palestinian meeting in Moscow has precedent
— Hanna Notte (@HannaNotte) February 29, 2024
Russia's hosted such meetings in the past, most recently Feb 2019
Russia has long lamented the US' "monopolization" of the peace process & tried to carve out a niche for itself: mediating among the disunited Palestinians/2

Location: U.S. Embassy and residential compounds
Events: Heavy gunfire is occuring around the area of the U.S. Embassy and residential compounds adjacent to the Trutier area of Tabarre. All Embassy personnel have been instructed to remain indoors and shelter-in-place until further notice. All others should avoid the area.
Actions to take:
- Avoid the area;
- Avoid demonstrations and any large gatherings of people;
- Do not attempt to drive through roadblocks; and
- If you encounter a roadblock, turn around and get to a safe area.

A mass expulsion of Afghan migrants could destabilize the region and fuel radicalization. The West should pressure Islamabad to change course.
All eyes on #Chad right now
Chad has two internet trunks coming into the country: One from the Red Sea via Sudan; the other from Cameroon. Not possible for the totality of the country's internet network to be shut unless done centrally. A lot of rumors swirling; few facts. https://t.co/N6bDJZ2ixO

You know who really looks and acts like Bush II?
Perry.
Perry is an idiot as far as public speaking and such and he looks just like Bush.
Jeb doesn't even look like his bro and is a better speaker.
But Perry...I have little in the way of means, but if he gets into office, I swear I will move to Canada.
Of course I only have to move about 90 miles.
Jeb by the way does not even know who he is.

Jeb isn't the sharpest knife in the draw either. He has done some really stupid stuff. His wife and kids have had their share of arrests and bookings. I don't know how they will hide all that. His oldest son was known for his bar room fighting. He holds office now in Texas but I guess being arrested for that don't matter in Texas. Then again our media won't spend time on that.

You sly duck. You remember the contra connection and how the Bushes got Bosch out of prison. He did retire from blowing up planes.
In reality many of the the old Cuban exiles have passed away. Their grandchildren don't have the same view of Cuba and their politics is as diverse as non Cubans'. The Cuban American National Federation don't have the clout it once had. Most of Little Havana is now populated with Caribbean, Central and South Americans. The children of Cuban exiles have moved away and those that were born in Cuba are 55 years old and older. Those that fled here in the decades following the revolution have no real desire to return except to visit. They came here for a better life.
I don't think Jeb is a match for Hillary. She will give him a hard time. I just wonder how much hard ball the Democrats are going to play in the next 2 years? Releasing the "torture report" and setting up an embassy in Cuba is a good start.
Keep in mind that he is married to a Mexican Nationalist. She was arrested for Customs violations and also shop lifting when he was governor. His daughter was a drug addict and was arrested for stealing and writing drug prescriptions. By the time this had happened she had been in and out of very expensive rehab. I don't remember if she got jail time or not. Mom might have been protecting her with the shop lifting. This all happen while he was in Tallahassee Governor Mansion. I think this was the real reason he did not move on to run for Senator.
One more thing he was a CEO of a Savings and Loan that went bankrupted in the 1980's.

These guys annoy me. At least Neil isn't running for office and has a tolerable personality.
But Jeb---argh! On a tony island in Florida I was approached by his security fullbacks---well, I wasn't used to driving a golf cart and how was I to know Jeb was gonna walk out from behind a patch of bougainvillia. But his Terry Schiavo fiasco is what really sticks in my craw.
There was an article recently about Jeb's most recent venture capital dynasty and the fact when money is raised there are usually signed agreements that principals stick to the business at hand. Don't know how an active candidacy possibly fits with that.
