The intra-Palestinian meeting in Moscow has precedent
— Hanna Notte (@HannaNotte) February 29, 2024
Russia's hosted such meetings in the past, most recently Feb 2019
Russia has long lamented the US' "monopolization" of the peace process & tried to carve out a niche for itself: mediating among the disunited Palestinians/2

A mass expulsion of Afghan migrants could destabilize the region and fuel radicalization. The West should pressure Islamabad to change course.
All eyes on #Chad right now
Chad has two internet trunks coming into the country: One from the Red Sea via Sudan; the other from Cameroon. Not possible for the totality of the country's internet network to be shut unless done centrally. A lot of rumors swirling; few facts. https://t.co/N6bDJZ2ixO

Seems to me that more and more that emoluments and related conflict of interest issues are becoming front and center and election collusion issues with Russia are falling away. The latter becoming more "much ado about not much", confirming Trump whining. Just sayin'. Open to being dissuaded, but that's what I am seeing now.
by artappraiser on Thu, 06/22/2017 - 12:48am
Emoluments are specific lawsuits that can be brought now for specific damages, including the newer GOP supported STOCK Act. Flynn's collusion w Russia and his undeclared riving foreign agent business keeps treason pressure in Trump, Pince, Sessions, Pompeo. Russian ties w Felix Sater getting more traction w Trump family. The latter 2 require more drawn out legal procedure.
But emoluments show Trump cashing in on his office - that takes some time to sink in, but eventually it will click with Joe Sixpack as brazenly unfair, esp as details come out.
by PeraclesPlease on Thu, 06/22/2017 - 5:51am
I suspect the quid-pro-quo on foreign policy angle on emoluents will be the bigger deal as opposed to the "cashing in" angle. Because every president is seen as "cashing in" in the end. Further, anyone who voted for Trump was probably doing so with secret admiration for his ability to "cash in," hoping he would use those skills some for the benefit of his fans.
Not to mention my vision of the stereotypical Joe Sixpack character (as opposed to Joe Lunchpail) is someone not totally adverse to the whole cashing in thing as long as everybody plays by the same rules....but that's just me and is all tied up with my views about the popularity of pro sports, steroids, etc.

Bluffing with head of FBI? Little dick but big balls - he's going down apparently, or as my favorite parrot joke goes, "for a guy with no wings, you're pretty ballsy". Not an agent in America wants to see a suspect overtly fucking with them with impunity. My guess is there's actually a recording that Trump knows won't sound good, and if so I'm pretty sure the FBI or other alphabet service has full details. And here's a good example of how much the FBI's in the bag for Trump. Gouliani's keaks were the last of the renegades - wagons will circle, bot to protect the org and screw the Russians. No longer about Hillary.
