Big picture reminder from Nate Silver:

Bernie has no link to the "smears".....don't see them at thinkprogress..

You reminded me that those who don't have NYTimes access might not be able to get a link to his letter with the tweet. It's here, it's a very simple letter
https://www.documentcloud.org/documents/5839898-Bernie-Sanders-Letter-Accusing-CAP-of.html
and you are correct he is not very specific for the reader, referring only to the month and topic of a few articles. The letter is directly to them and presumes they know what he is talking about. The Times story dug up some of the links for their readers, but overall Bernie just seems to be saying to them that they should cease and desist from publishing any op-ed pieces about any Dem candidates that are not positive. Because that is supposedly destructive as to the mission to defeat Trump. All in all, kind of an absurd request, no?

from nyt - Another post contained a video seeking to demonstrate that, as he grew wealthier, he altered his repeated denunciations of “millionaires and billionaires” to no longer include as many references to millionaires.
thinkprogress " smear "-It’s all very off-brand and embarrassing, but Sen. Bernie Sanders is a millionaire....1.06 million. That’s it! He’s barely a millionaire. He assured readers of the Times that they, too, could be millionaires, if they only wrote bestselling books. Clearly Sanders, who has spent the better part of his career saying “he could have found a way to lop off that last .06, perhaps by donating it to some worthy cause, and then he could’ve bought a cup of coffee and then — poof! He wouldn’t be a millionaire anymore.” like it’s a slur, finds the whole situation a bit awkward and would prefer no one notice his wealth.
If Sanders can't handle this comical stuff, hows he gonna get free everything past Mitch McConnell?

Sanders advises that others do not do what was the bulk of his campaign against Hillary. Absurd yes, since given that history the likelihood of Sanders not being viciously negative in this campaign is near zero.
