Former Obama White House staffer R. David Edelman woke up Thursday to a bizarre new reality: many people on the pro-Trump internet were convinced that he was the anonymous whistleblower at the heart of the impeachment proceedings.
And then the death threats started.
and
But Edelman, who is now the head of MIT’s Project on Technology, Economy & National Security, literally can’t be the whistleblower. He left the White House in January 2017 as a special assistant to the president at the end of the Obama administration, meaning that he was more than two years removed from Trump’s July phone call with Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky. He wasn’t there to hear internal concern over that call, or to have the Intelligence Community’s inspector general subsequently corroborate his account, because, again, he is not the whistleblower.
That is true cancel culture
Comments
Anyone who's paying attention knows who the fake whistleblower is. To avoid legal complications I'll just say, the name that cannot be uttered rhymes with Charlie.

The whistleblower law is in place to keep people safe from harassment.
The fact is that the whistleblower's account is confirmed by multiple witnesses. If you were paying attention and had any functioning brain cells you would realize that Trump was attempting to extort Ukraine. The fact that extortion was attempted is the impeachable offense.

RM, you are supposed to be a lawyer who reads the law not make it up The WB statute protects.WB's from being fired or being internally harasses by superiors and restricts the IG from naming him except in certain circumstances. No one else in or out of the government is covered by any of those restrictions
Eric the phony WB was already fired from the NSC for leaking before the call, he stated in his complaint that transcripts of these calls were verbatim. WE have the transcript and whatever opinions come from people in the Star Chamber documented facts trump opinions.
Eric the phony WB has an interesting history with Biden and the first attempt to frame Trump in Ukraine and he was planted in the WH to spy and leak and help set up this last attempt to frame Trump. . ,

The whistleblower was not in on the call.
Witnesses who were in on the call corroborated his story.
The transcript is not a complete account of what was said during the conversation.
Again and again you verify the stupidity of the Trump supporter.
Mulvaney said there was extortion.
Mulvaney was in on the call (unless he coughed during the conversation)
From William Taylor's testimony
https://www.motherjones.com/politics/2019/10/the-trump-ukraine-scandal-more-than-a-quid-pro-quo-its-extortion/
Zelensky was going to give in to the extortion and was scheduled to appear on Fareed Zaharia's show on CNN until Zelensky was saved by the whistleblower

You are not bright enough to keep up, so I'm going to enjoy my day conversing with intelligent people. Enjoy your delusions. Open hearings begin Wednesday. I expect to hear more whaddabout da WB from the GOP, since they have no real defense of Trump's actions. Republicans place party above country.

Well I simply can't imagine a whistleblower statute that 1) ignores harassment from co-workers, as you imply 2) allows superiors to outsource the harassment to 3rd parties as a workaround.
Also there are statutes about witness tampering that may come into play with this level of intimidation, tho IANAL.
by PeraclesPlease on Sun, 11/10/2019 - 4:25pm
This spook, plant, leaker operative Eric didn't witness the call but he did witness and participate in the coup plot, as his lawyer described it, so someone may be guilty of witness tampering for hiding him from testifying under oath before congress.

So the GOP controls the DoJ, but you're doing Trial By Fox News?
Get fucking real. So you're completely against any whistleblower projections before claims are verified by the authorities their claims are supposed to go to? You think it's cool for the IG to withhold a whistleblower complaint from Congress & instead bury it in the classified system? You think it's okay to take intelligence info and announce it on TV, just like I suppose you now think it's okay for most of the Trump administration to be using private emails because either they can't be fucked with security or the Deep State's out to get them.
Absolute madness.
So where are those charges against Hillary, against Hunter Biden, against whoever?
Republicans control the DoJ, but they can't manage indictments? almost 3 years trying to chase Hunter Biden down and they still come up with dick, nothing legal, just a bunch of spouting off points again for Fox News?
You people couldn't find your asses with GPS. And frankly I don't think you want to - you just like shit everywhere.

I don't think your typing 'projections' was a typo but a Freudian slip.. Eric the farceblower was certainly projecting reflections of his own evil deeds towards Trump and he will have to answer for them.
Fox is too infested with neverTrumpers for me to trust except for plain news and some kilter opinion from mostly independent commenters who slice and dice the resistance daily. I, just as you and many others are impatient waiting for the slow wheels of justice to produce results but I do trust Barr and Durham to aggressively pursue the results of their criminal investigation.Judicial Watch is waiting on a judge's decision .about deposing Crooked Hillary for information on her many misdeeds.that may produce some interesting results.

Ah, you've been getting your delusions from Qanon. Or else you're just spreading their lies for your own amusement.
by ocean-kat on Sun, 11/10/2019 - 8:55pm
You're delusional or a liar. A coup by impeachment requires 20 republican senate collaborators to succeed. There would have to be overwhelming evidence for that to happen and if it did, it wouldn't be a coup

Big picture, this narrative, it's all part of the victimhood Olympics game. Trump knew how to do it for the whypipple tribe and Bannon saw that talent in him. Mho, whichever major leader has the bravery to stop playing that zero-sum game and go back to "common good" is really what a majority allover the world are craving right now,. Even if they don't know it yet. It's time; enough of this crap, it's getting tiresome. Whoever can get people in democracies to see it's not in their interest to be seen as proud victims that can't do anything about the evil others, that will be the new thing.
by artappraiser on Sun, 11/10/2019 - 9:28pm
P.S. really, think about it, Trump sold himself as a successful billionaire dealmaker who could MAGA and now he's the victim of a Dem witch hunt and Deep State plot and can do nothing about it but whine on twitter and on the White House lawn how unfair it is and how unfair the media is, etc. etc. What did you need him for then if he's such a pitiful hapless victim without any power to change things? (One doesn't need to be left side of aisle to see this; comes to mind Saint Ronnie would nev-ah,, brought down the Berlin Wall all by hisself! He'd say: stop your whinin', shuddup on that and lead the world. Dick Cheney would have cut them off at the legs long ago...)

Trump showed Kim Jong Un what kick yo ass feels like, Trump took no sheet, took the dudes nukes. Every last one.
by NCD on Sun, 11/10/2019 - 10:21pm
Don't you get it? He's not a pitiful helpless victim. Any day now Barr and Trump are gonna release all the evidence they've been collecting and Hillary and the whole deep state is going to jail. It's eleventy-lenven dimension chess.
by ocean-kat on Sun, 11/10/2019 - 10:46pm
Funny you should mention this. We have transcripts from Congress now of Fiona Hill's testimony, appointed by Trump to his NSC in 2017, quit in Aug. 2019, not fired, that the conspiracy is by Putin's Russia, not Dems or Deep State:
by artappraiser on Sun, 11/10/2019 - 11:17pm
Trump is a racist. He has the support of a majority of white voters. Republicans in Congress are threatening civil war. When black people point out the racism, you say that they are playing pity Olympics, rather than merely noting the obvious.
No knight in shining honor is coming to cure the white racists. The FBI and prosecutors recognize the threat

Art. you're projecting again and Trump is only a victim if he loses which he won't and you will, again. He's kept his powder dry through three years of constant bombardment by the forces of darkness, losers all, and is arraying his forces and starting his broadsides against the crumbling, disorganized and terrified resistance. He's had to fire people he thought were allies but were Judases like Tillerson and deal with spies and leaker like Comey and wait for the process of the rat catchers to identify and remove the vermin that infested the ranks of much of his administration including the Hoaxblower.
Trump is smiling as he begins his counteroffensive not frowning and whining like you and Nancy and the other big losers facing defeat public humiliation and legal accounting for their sins.

Kept his powder dry? He's the whiniest bitch in politics. He's still whining about Hillary and crowd size and his weight/doctors and anything else. A military parade? Jeebus.
Have we made his hotels rich yet? Can he show his taxes yet? I liked his whining over the $2 million fine for running his "charity" like a family ATM. Classy as always. You got lovely role models, Peter. What's you think of those pictures of him clubbing with Epstein and a bevy of young girls, all smiles. Underage pussy's the best, ain't it? "15 once" don't apply when you're rich and well-connected. No wonder Trump's moving to Florida - it's like Spring Breakers all year round - young pussy and dirty Russian money and an AG who loves him. Gangsta life. Even better than The Apprentice.
Powder dry, y'all. Except the lack of body count, he's pure street.
