On Thursday, the nation’s largest police union posted a photo to social media taken during the unrest in Philadelphia this week, where hundreds of protesters clashed with officers over the police killing of Walter Wallace Jr. The Fraternal Order of Police’s posts showed a Philadelphia police officer holding a Black toddler clinging to her neck.
“This child was lost during the violent riots in Philadelphia, wandering around barefoot in an area that was experiencing complete lawlessness,” the union claimed in a tweet and Facebook post that have since been deleted. “The only thing this Philadelphia police officer cared about in that moment was protecting this child.”
But lawyers for the boy’s family say that story was a total fabrication.
In fact, they say police yanked the boy from the back seat of an SUV after busting all of the windows and violently arresting and injuring his mother, who was later released without charges.
“It’s propaganda,” attorney Riley H. Ross III told The Washington Post. “Using this kid in a way to say, ‘This kid was in danger and the police were only there to save him,’ when the police actually caused the danger. That little boy is terrified because of what the police did.”

Incredible. Driving home, demonstration ahead. The woman has an infant, a 16 year old in the car, tries to make 3 point turn to turn around, car is not moving as she is surrounded by 20 cops. Car windows all smashed up by a cop who looks like he is on meth.
Glass everywhere, she is dragged out and is thrown to the pavement. Keystone cops or Gestapo? I go with the latter. Then the Fraternal Order of Hotheads and Liars have the nerve and idiocy to pretend they saved the baby.
But..... Brett Favre stands with the police.

Of course, if the she was white, the cops would have done nothing but tell her to turn around and get out of there.
The $2-5 million this will cost Philly would be better spent with cop education, cop deescalation training, better supervision and aggressive culling of cops who should not be on the force.

The police who terrorized this woman know that the union will back them up.
When you hear Glenn Loury, Coleman Hughes, et al tell you that the media coverage of police abuse is overblown, you realize that they are performing modern Stepin Fetchit.
Loury will tell you all the things that Black Lives Matter does wrong
If you ask what people on his side of the argument are doing to make things better, you get crickets.
Coleman Hughes went to a BLM protest because BLM is the "only game in town"
Coleman Hughes and Chloe Valdary have already voted for Biden.
All Loury and Hughes have is talk.
Chloe Valdary thrilled Megyn Kelly when she told Kelly that she (Valdary) does not let racism slow her down.
We welcome Valdary to the world of Black people.
Most Black people may make comments about racism, but go on with their lives.
Valdary then says that she tries to figure out what is going on in the racist's mind to try to effect change
Fuck that
Not my job.
The Loury's of the world would disappear if we allowed them to go the bathroom and fully empty their bowels.
