With that headline, thought it deserved a new thread! Here's a cross-link to the previous thread by barefooted, started when the Brennan story broke.

Sixty former CIA officials warned President Donald Trump in a statement on Friday that "the country will be weakened if there is a political litmus test applied before seasoned experts are allowed to share their views."
The letter, which comes after Trump's decision to revoke former CIA Director John Brennan's security clearance, was signed by former CIA officials who served under both Republican and Democratic administrations in positions such as analysts, senior analysts and officers.
It adds to a growing outcry against the President's recent action and comes after more than a dozen former senior intelligence officials denounced the move as "ill-considered" and "unprecedented" in a separate statement.
"All of us believe it is critical to protect classified information from unauthorized disclosure," reads the statement from the former CIA officials. "But we believe equally strongly that former government officials have the right to express their unclassified views on what they see as critical national security issues without fear of being punished for doing so [....]

here's the big rub about Trump's jihad, in a nutshell, with his own defense, as well as with everything else, he goes rogue from his advisors, and regular citizens don't really know what he understands and what he doesn't

Big picture related, I find myself increasingly appreciative of the former staff like Rex Tillerson trying to inform us that the explanation for his behavior is more that he's a moron, rather than a genius plotter. Then there's this that hit me from the profile of Jimmy and Rosalyn Carter in WaPo yesterday, what they said implying how destructive his lying is, to our system working as it should:

Washington Post has done a list of "almost 250":
Almost 250 officials have spoken out against Trump’s decision to revoke Brennan’s clearance. Here’s a list.
Last week, President Trump revoked former CIA director John Brennan’s security clearance. Since then, a growing group of former intelligence officials have expressed support for Brennan.

The TDS driven political cabal within the IC ?
Just asking because you say it's "clear and present danger to the republic." I'm saying this is not "clear." It sounds like it's coming from an in group of like conspiracy theorists who use acronyms that nobody outside the group even understands what they are talking about, so it just sounds crazy.
Edit to add: but then you seem to like the mysterious communique thing. You didn't define "snowflake" or "commie" when you first started slinging those words around here as derogatives, you just presumed all readers knew what they meant, as if you were speaking with an in group.

The text is copied from reddit and briebart threads where the narrative has been developed over several years and then pasted here.
So it is less of a presumption and more of a practical joke. It is like filling a paper bag with dog excrement, setting it on fire at the entrance to a house, ringing the doorbell, and then hiding behind a tree to see what happens.
