Bernie Sanders’ core pitch to Democratic primary voters was that his people-powered “revolution” would make him uniquely positioned to clean up a campaign finance system that most Americans see as hopelessly corrupted. A great deal of that money bought a blast of commercials preceding caucuses and primaries across the country, one effect of which was to enrich a small group of Democratic consultants whose compensation is tied to media spending. Disclosure forms examined by Slate suggest the campaign contracted with a front company—possibly created to obscure who made what off the Sanders movement—and in one cozy arrangement, effectively shared a third-party vendor with a pro-Bernie dark money group.

$82,773,463 would buy a lot of pizza...
From the Slate article (my bold and underline):

Everybody loves pizza. I'm sure Sanders fans will not be upset at all with the way he spent their money. Anyway a anonymous source has informed me that most of the checks came with a note saying, "Here's $27 for a large pepperoni pizza with extra cheese."

About the pizza...
This may be dated, but ya' know it's still funny as all get out...
And it IS a true teaching moment.

Thank god that someone is finally addressing the inequality issue that most directly affects the common man.

I would be interested in finding out what his family members were paid. I still would like to see his tax returns. He's hiding something.

Hillary or Obama would be raked over the coals if a story like this were connected to them.Bernie will get a pass.

He sure got a pass with his taxes. Not one reporter ever countered his ridiculous stance by saying that his taxes and her speeches aren't equivalent. Besides Trump he is the only candidate to refuse to give even one year's complete tax return, and Clinton has provided 30. A pass indeed.
As you said, if this was Clinton it would be "Dark Money-Gate" already.

So Devine = Mark Penn, and $27 doesn't buy transparency (yet)? If Hillary had used Old Towne Consulting to hide her $88 million media buy would the media report against itself?). Bernie flies coach so jis ad-man can buy the plane? How would Bernie spend the money if he won? Splurge and excuse, it's a revolution, no time to wait. Still, my favorite comment:
