I don't know if it's in the above clip, but I heard the whole segment live and at end of the segment he answered the question of would not consider switching to the Democrat party, he said he would no, that he is a Republican, a Republican that has worked with the other party across the aisle and will again.

His bombshell announcement came right before CNN started full coverage of the Notre Dame fire, hence not much coverage yet.

Events: Heavy gunfire is occuring around the area of the U.S. Embassy and residential compounds adjacent to the Trutier area of Tabarre. All Embassy personnel have been instructed to remain indoors and shelter-in-place until further notice. All others should avoid the area.

Actions to take:

Avoid the area;

Avoid demonstrations and any large gatherings of people;

Do not attempt to drive through roadblocks; and

If you encounter a roadblock, turn around and get to a safe area.
