Still doesn't compare to 1848, mho. Which very much happened alongside and influenced by the Industrial Revolution. Change is not necessarily always "trouble," change is change. I wouldn't call adjusting to easy global communication and other technological revolution as a "system falling apart." Nature very much has an equivalent in evolution.
Does keep a president of the most powerful nation busy, though, especially one that likes stability. Makes me wonder why people might think he would be so concerned with one nation, like Ukraine, that he and his adminstration would spend a lot more time and government energy trying influence or meddle in its situation over many many others in equal or much worse turmoil of change.

PP made a link to a book or Wikipedia site , that talked about the End game(?) Showing the establishment of spheres of influence by the Great World powers? Maybe he'll read this and provide it again
We have our Monroe Doctrine and maybe the others have theirs, and we just don't want to get involved, unless our Anglo/American partner asks for our assistance?
