That didn't take long for Sesaions' inner schmuck to appear.
Good luck on any government support on voter suppression the next 4 years. Hopefully enough judicial independence (the judges themselves) to goad them into some action.

This was predictable. We have white supremacists in charge. Ben Carson, Omarosa, etc.knew this would happen but did not care. Trump met with the heads of HBCUs at the same time as Sessions was restricting voting rights. People are skeptical that this was anything more than a photo-op

We have been here before. President Woodrow Wilson was a white supremacist. Despite Wilson's vague mention of Civil Rights, he received the support of black activist William Monroe Trotter. Trotter was in the same league as W.E.B. DuBois and Booker T. Washington at the time. Wilson responded to Trotter's support by segregating government agencies and firing black workers. Trotter later attempted to protest
TrumpWilson face-to-face and wound up escorted out of the White House. DuBois and Washington are familiar to people today. Wilson supporter Trotter is unknown. The same fate may befall black Trump supporters.https://www.theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2015/11/wilson-legacy-racis...
Edit to add:
Kellyanne's posture at the meeting has already become a meme.

A meme? It's an insult. Can dress-em-up, but can't take-em-out. It's like having a 4-year-old get all fidgety at church. Except she's 46 years older.

The entire Trump White House has a condescending attitude towards the black community. The initial contact that Trump had with the black community was with Kanye West, who had just been released from the hospital for mental issues.
The next contact was with former NFL football players Jim Brown and Ray Lewis. Both men said that they presented a plan for the black community and that Trump accepted the plan. Jim Brown praises Trump. We have heard no details of the plan. Steve Harvey, a black game show host was set up as an aide to Ben Carson at HUD. Trump knows black athletes and entertainers. He does not know black scholars who understand the issues in the black community.
Trump trots out Paris Dennard as his translator for the black community. He bends over backwards to defend Trump. Unfortunately Dennard knows very little about the black community. He usually goes up in flames during interviews with black hosts. In a segment on CNN earlier this month, Dennard accused Michael Eric Dyson of being unable to criticize Trump because Dyson gave a pass to President Barack Obama. The one thing black people know about Dyson is that he was an outspoken critic of Obama. The fact that Dennard was unaware of this well-known fact disqualifies him from being taken seriously.

It is amazing how much stupidity resides in Trump's GOP. Betsy Devos, the unqualified Secretary of Education, said that HBCUs represented the outcome of school choice. She is such an idiot that the fact that HBCUs were created because blacks were not allowed to enter institutions of higher learning escapes her. Trump and his staff are imbeciles
