User comments seem to give hope to Remain's resurrrection - too bad no candidates aside from Scotland & N. Ireland, and Corbyn's still a walking corpse....

Meanwhile here in the U.S. i saw this contradiction noted in several places last night:
Trump’s congratulatory message strikes a starkly different tone from the statement issued by the US state department on Monday, which urged Erdoğan to respect his citizens’ fundamental rights and noted the report’s findings of “irregularities on voting day and an uneven playing field during the difficult campaign period”*
but I had a hard time finding an example now, it's like many of the stories and headlines got edited. I am wondering whether the State Dept.'s statement got "fixed" after they found out the president didn't agree with them.

Funny, 2 weeks ago she told Scotland's head that now wasn't the time for an independence referendum as the UK needed to stay focused on Brexit. Let's just say I doubt Tory support in Scotland will end up terribly strong (nor Northern Ireland, nor Wales).
Also, the Liberal Democrats are hoping to rally Brits to Bremain, seeing as Corbyn has left Labour rather spineless the last year. So count Liberal Democrats as the protest vote. Is May helping those anguished Midlands voters out with their angst? She seems to think so, but muddling around with no clear message for 10 months may not be the sign they were expecting. And with her U-Turn on an election, let's hope those polling numbers drop quick too.
ETA: channeling Condi Rice, no one could have foreseen May flying UK government into the side of a building...

Charlie is so naive: "
"Let's have them all go bowling and, if they lose, they can behead the guy who rents the shoes."
Beheading is for ordinary misdemeanors. Lese Majeste draws more , viz:

yikes on your link. It's like there's always got to be one Idi Amin type in the world so that we can't prove that possession by the devil is not real....
