Mark Aames has it right, and this is a must read.
Aames writes:
This Saturday’s "StopWatching.Us" protest in Washington DC promises to be the Mother Of All StrangeBedfellowsPaloozas, the apotheosis of sentimental Boomer politics in which right-wingers hold hands with left-wingers in a righteous People’s Crusade against the government Death Star.
I wouldn't be the first to point out how embarrassingly easy it has been for rancid Koch libertarian front groups to convince those on the Left that they are all on the same team. As Salon writer Tom Watson wrote, the event is "fatally compromised by the prominent leadership and participation of the Libertarian Party and other libertarian student groups [who stand] in direct opposition to almost everything I believe in as a social democrat."

Exactly right, Tmac. I tried to find your article somewhere besides NSFW because it looks like it'll disappear after a while. Couldn't find it--and it needs to be seen by many, especially the anti-government lefties who buy into that stuff.
I found another one along similar lines here.
A few things the Right and the Libertarians have going for them: They're smart, they're crafty, they're ruthless, and they know their enemies well. They've changed our entire society in a matter of a few years by making the government out to be a bunch of power-hungry evil-doers conniving to take our liberties away. And now they have members of the Left working hard to spread their message.
It doesn't surprise me that the Republicans would buy that line--it helps them as they work toward wealth-building and privatizing--but I don't get the left in all this. Who do they think they're helping by not just going along, but encouraging, the Right's actions?
