Amen to what Haselby says in this tweet, with the exception that political scientists are often way worse. (If what's been going on in the U.S. means the end of democracy, it applies to a lot of other places, too.)

In case you ever want to do it:
after you click on the reply tweet for its embed code, you click on "SEE CUSTOMIZABLE OPTIONS", and then you tick the box "HIDE CONVERSATION", and then click "UPDATE" and now you've got the code only for that reply tweet
(further info: people seeing your embed can still get to the full original thread if they want by clicking through to the tweet and scrolling up)
on CONTENT, I saw that and skimmed the article, but now that you recommend it, I'll give it a second look!
