Yes I believe I read more than mumblings along those lines.
Isn't part of the problem, though, is they have a damn habit of not voting in a bloc as if they are all alike and want the same policies? Live by ethnic identity politics, die by it? I've heard tell that some to whom that name is applied are even *gasp* Republican-leaning for a variety of reasons.
(However they might try to pander, they should do it with more knowledge than De Blasio.)

Well, certainly Cubana are difference than Puerto Ricans (NY vs FL) are different than TexMex Are different than Mexicali Are different than Central Americans Are different than the spatterings if Hispanics Relicated all over the US. Maybe just maybe Will have to come up with a unity message if belonging and jobs and fair treatment, maybe not putting in cages?
