When it comes to first lady's clothing, it all depends upon what your definition of "buying American" is. After all, she is an American now, so whatever she buys, it then becomes American? Or how about this one: if she buys it at a store on an American street, it's American? In in honor of “National Wear Red Day, which is to highlight the importance and raise awareness about heart disease.”it was necessary to wear that old Givenchy, because that was the only red she had at Mar-a-Lago?....um.... (Where is Kellyanne when Stephanie Winston Wolkoff, Mrs. Trump’s new senior adviser, needs her?)
Comments
I apologize beforehand for my crude language, but I believe we are about to be subjected to one of the shittiest first ladies ever. We have become used to First Ladies of some substance. Educated, community minded, bringing a pertinent insight with them into the White House. Melania? Phffft. There is no there there. Do I look forward to the day she falls off her stilletos while deplaning? Well, no. That would be mean.

Is okay, she can handle your dislike, she's is after all a professional girl, though hubby will spend a lot of money and even risk a lot to hide that fact (which is the subject of a NYT editorial for tomorrow's print!). As Maureen Dowd described yesterday, some feminists even have sympathy, those would be along the lines of the kind of feminists that also support the choice of sex workers. (I'm not being cattty, really, I am that kind of feminist, too!) How do you think she learned to do this?
Edit to add: Do you know the Svetlana character from the Showtime series "Shameless"? Is another common character one sees in Queens and the farthest reaches of Brooklyn. I should probably leave any further commentary on this whole topic to Jolly Roger, I know he has some life expertise in same.

Will add one link as a backgrounder to explain my gossipy babble, since I don't know if you guys covered this here,. In August I didn't have time to check out if this NY Post story (of several days running) was fake news but it sure was the talk of the town high, low and inbetween....
And also must add: I don't believe we should judge our elected officials' ability to do their job by their spouses or personal life, one way or another. Doing it is just gossipy fun! But it might be that that divide is about to be breached by the fact of that suit he paid for defending her for the value of her corporate image, as argued in the NYT editorial.

If the UK Prime Minister is a sometime porn actress/video star (check out her work in Prodigy's Smack My Bitch Up - warning, uncensored version), we should be demanding *MORE* out of Melania. Who are we, 2nd best to some old dame and a washed up overseas Empire? America First don't mean everything but the most important stuff - it means Fuck Yeah.

I do not understand this woman, at all!
And I do not care what she does or doesn't do.
It is like the Kardashians (I still do not know how to properly spell that family).
She does not live in the White House?
She is a trophy wife?
She is a pretty model.
I do not care what she does or doesn't do.
Her husband is a prick.
That is all I know.
And I actually feel sorry for her kid.

I feel very sorry for her kid also, but not for her. She made a Faustian choice and she is not only gaining from it but she also doesn't even have to see his face every day (plus she can go all over the place free)
Now she is suing over a newspaper account that she says will keep her from making big bucks on her FLOTUS brand.
So let her divorce him and maybe she and Ivana (and even Marla) can create a new brand:
The First POTUS' Wives Club
-- Goldie Hawn (Ivana), Jessica Parker (Marla), Bette Middler (just kidding) I could go on but I have forgotten some of the characters. We ALL agree, however that there will be one star playing Shawn's role.
Although I love Alec Baldwin as trump, I wish Trump could be played as well by a woman. Maybe play him as the character in "As good as it gets" needing Viagra. That would do him in!

How about Helen Mirren playing Trump. She could capture him and also show what he is not.

Isn't that Sigourney Weaver's side of the street? Though for doing teh crazy, Angelina Jolie circa girl interrupted or in private life ain't bad. Can have Brad Pitt play Hillary.

For supposedly not knowing anything about this you got all the facts right, hah. Including the spelling of Kardashian. I betcha you secretly stop and listen to E! channel for a few minutes sometimes.

hahahaahahahahahahahah
I probably should view more E. hahahah
I am lost in this new generation. Hell I really do not know who Beyance is. hahhaahah
But then again, I am stuck inside of Mobile with the Memphis blues again.
hahahah
Life has passed me by.

she really is eschewing the traditional first lady D.C. duties:

further gossip forthcoming, to be sure....

Update!
1) She's still not gotten the White House tours thing off the ground and GOP in Congress getting annoyed @ WaPo Feb. 13 (For chrissakes, at this time of year, people should wanna tour Mar-a-Lago to show off their resort wear? Why care right now about that widdle pied-a-terre in DC?)
2) She's not a hooker! (It's the fashion model twitter version of feminism: you sell your body to hang clothes on it, but not for pleasure?) Melania & Emily do twitter fist bumps over that nasty fashion reporter @ NY Times Feb. 13

I'm sure that as soon as Trump gets his extreme vetting program in place for tourists the WH tours will resume.
by ocean-kat on Tue, 02/14/2017 - 2:54am
it's taking so long because it's gonna be yuge, they are gonna top that Andy Jackson bash?
(just keep 'em away from Mar-a-Lago!)
