I have not ever been unclear that I am not a fan of Obama. But he is unfortunately just one of a long line of occupants of the WH whose military and foreign policy was has been questionable at best and horrific at worst.
But as someone once said, Americans generally get the government they deserve.

I think it's just the technology that's changed. Reagan did it with illegal covert ops, HW Bush just outright overwhelmed tiny opponents with his vast military, Clinton used cruise missiles and high altitude bombing, and W used secret black sites, kidnappings and renditions. Obama has drones.
But the problem is, no matter who's president, that they are totally out of control.
