This was a significant tournament to me anyway.
First, this was a FIRST.
Tiger is the only man in PGA history who has won the same tournament eight times.
Second, everyone talks about Nicklaus' 18 Majors and that Tiger has 4 to go. Really Tiger has only three 'to go' but who cares and who is counting?
The fact is that Slammin Sam Snead had 82 official PGA wins and this win by Tiger (age 37) is now within 7 of reaching that record that has been called 'unapproachable'.

Now Tiger has 75 wins on the official PGA Tour. That represents a better than 25% win record on the PGA. That would be a 250 average. Small for the likes of Babe Ruth or even Yogi Berra.
But this is history folks.
NOONE has ever come close to that percentage in golf.
And the man has 6 more tournaments before he reaches the 250 mark in PGA Tournament starts.
This is a big deal.
And no one has shot him yet!
Comments
8TH win on this tournament.
Four shot win!
Anyway, Tiger just won the same tournament 7 times, which is PGA record!
