What exactly did you find interesting or notable about this? (i.e. why did you post it?)

Turns out that is a rather hard question to answer since I do not want to attempt a book, but the article lead me to thinking about culture and inculturation, teaching, learning, myths, etc, etc. It gets me thinking about why so many adults and younger people coming of age a few years ago thought that because of one hideous man’s leadership Iraq was responsible for 911. Today the authors students who are just coming of age think Iran, because of a bunch of religious nuts I guess, was responsible for the attack. I think about why they have that misconception and how it came to be. The article is constructed around observations of the “leaders of tomorrow” which I take at face value. They are observations which, if they were my own, I would be talking about somewhere and I would expect some listeners to be interested in.

Except it's rather anecdotal - was this truly a majority of her students, a fair number, or... i'm assuming she was teachin in San Fran - how can this tidbit didn't sink in? anyway, people have been worrying about tomorrow's youth since forever.
