Even though this article is not at all scientific or objective, consisting of reported anecdotals from "Trump country" in North Carolina, with a selection of photo illustrations that is suspiciously oriented towards "white trashville", I still found it very intriguing. It stuck in my mind, so much so that I went back to search for it in my browsing history in order to post it here.
A lot of the quoted comments make it sound like these Trump voters could be easily primed to accepting the right "socialist" argument on a non-profit health care system. Many seemed to have liked both Trump's promise to fix Obamacare and his promise of "coverage for all". Trump made it sound simple, like Medicare, and they liked that and were hoping for that from him. One thing many seem to dislike is anything that is corporate bureaucrat mix and one might take that further to understanding a lot of the Trump voters preference for him over other candidates. They don't like distant bureaucracies, neither corporate nor government ones. It's understandable then, that a supposedly independent billionaire with supposed experience breaking through both kinds of bureaucracies in order to build things would be of appeal to them.
