I have always had my doubts about Mitt Romney, but clearly, Mitt gets it when it comes to corporations. In Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission, The Supreme Court recognized the right of our fellow, corporate Americans to enjoy free speech. By extension, our corporate brothers also enjoy the other first amendment protections such as freedom of religion (e.g., only Christians can work here), freedom of assembly, freedom to press things and assemble things, etc.
Today, Mitt declared "Corporations are people, my friend!" and declared himself to be against the current democratic discrimination against corporate Americans.
Mitt loves corporations so much that he might want to marry one. Hey, maybe that's next!

If corporation s are people, then they must pay taxes like people, be held responsible for their actions like people and most importantly , die like people.

Last night I scored with a corporation. She came over so we could watch the Republican debate. I have just broken up with a proprietorship so I wasn't trying to make any moves. Actually she's kind of weird looking, very tall, and with a somewhat glassy skin. We were laughing our flying buttresses off at the stupidity of asking grown ups to all raise their hands. Then they asked Bachmann about being submissive to her husband and I stole a glance only to see a flush rising near the top floor. I decided to test my belief that corporations are real people. I can only tell you guys, particularly you older ones, that something special may lie right before your eyes the next time you walk into a bank, and I'm not talking about the bank tellers. When you strip away the facade and see how those incorporation documents are really stacked, you'll have the surprise of your life.

They are people Decider, you are so right.... I think that means we can begin taxing them as individuals on their profits err income, and we will now consider their investors, inheritors, and tax that according to inheritance laws! It could work out for everyone.

This is big news, and could create jobs.
For example, I'm hoping to get hired to rewrite the Sesame Street "These are the People in your Neighborhood" song.

This is a very creative response. You are thinking in profit making ways and harrasning the power of free enterprise rather than thinking of ways to tax corporations and kill the messenger (or is it the piano player?). You would make a good Republican!

Okay I hereby award Dan Kervick the Dayly Line(s) of the Day Award for this here Dagblog Site, given to all of him from all of me.
On another note; corporations are better at screwing people than most people and it appears that folks like Mitt are the progeny acquired per that coitus.

Don't you see? By accepting them among us, we prevent them from feeling that they have to nuke us in order to survive. They're no longer them, they are us. Then maybe they will stop sending all of those terminators back here all the time and we can turn our attention to the real threat (...zombies!)
