The Bishop and the Butterfly: Murder, Politics, and the End of the Jazz Age

    Go it ...

I entered this 3 times and someone did me favor of  deleting two of them.

One more time. I agreed with Chuck. And Nancy.

He cut  a spending deal. Fine .Do I wish it covered DACA. Sure

She  complained -for 8 hours in heels- because it did not cover DACA. Good for her.

Do I think either of them should be censured or removed? Hell no. We'll see what happens meanwhile the leader of my party is the leader of my party. And I support him. And her.

Huh, just posted @ The Hil: Ryan: 'Do not' doubt my commitment to solving DACA

Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) on Thursday had a message for his critics who don’t think he’s serious about protecting hundreds of thousands of young undocumented immigrants: Don’t doubt me.

“I know that there is a real commitment to solving the DACA challenge in both political parties. That’s a commitment that I share. To anyone who doubts my intention to solve this problem and bring up a DACA and immigration reform bill, do not,” Ryan told reporters at his weekly news conference in the Capitol.

“We will bring a solution to the floor — one that the president will sign.” [....]

the scuttlebutt from the WaPo article on shutdown that I just posted at the top of the news section

Even bigger problems appeared to be surfacing in the House, where liberals led by Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) were incensed that the plight of young undocumented immigrants who face the threat of deportation was not addressed in the spending bill.

Pelosi planned to vote against the bill, and despite initially suggesting that she would not be urging fellow Democrats to follow her lead, she increasingly appeared to be doing exactly that.

At a closed-door evening meeting of House Democrats, Pelosi told lawmakers: “We have a moment. They don’t have the votes. All of us should use our leverage. This is what we believe in,” according to one House Democrat in the room, who demanded anonymity to disclose the private conversation.

    Go Nancy!

The troop haters will be dealt with by our leader..!!!!
