    From my peculiar perspective as a Sermon on the Mount (only) Christian, this would be, I think, an appropriate time to do a little anti-Yahwist gloating.

     

    Viz, even as they pack the pews, virtual or (shudder) real, the Yahwists will stumble upon mutiple references to the omnipotence and omnipresence (Not a sparrow falls but he sees all) of their gangser deity.

     

    In that epistomology, do they not wonder if something they have done has pissed him (always toxically masculine...) off?

     

    I mean, when plagues visit their nominal oppressors, the Yahwists in their several variants don't hesitate to ascribe the suffering, the first born slaying, army drowning, Hamen unravelling, army routing, wall toppling, (I could go on) to the intentional intervention of the bearded goat god who emerged from the maelstrom that was Canaan, lo these many years ago.

     

    So, Yahwists, I put it to you:

     

    Did you, maybe, piss him off?  If not, wherefor the pandemic?  (Please, no racist jokes about pangolins, that is a mere instrumentality, n;est ce pas?)

    The White House on Thursday condemned comments by a pastor who appeared to suggest that homosexuality helped cause the coronavirus pandemic.

    Ralph Drollinger, who leads regular Bible study groups for top Trump administration officials, made the remarks in a blog post over the weekend, drawing rebukes from LGBTQ leaders and the White House.

    “These comments are disgusting and certainly not something the President believes. President Trump has no higher priority than the health and safety of all Americans, and ensuring we emerge from this pandemic stronger than ever before,” deputy White House press secretary Judd Deere said in a statement to The Hill on Thursday.

    “The President does not attend this ‘bible class’ and they are not held at the White House,” Deere added.

    Drollinger's weekly study groups have reportedly been attended by Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, Education Secretary Betsy DeVosand other Cabinet members.

    In his blog post, Drollinger wrote that the U.S. was currently “experiencing the consequential wrath of God.” He then discussed what he viewed to be God's "forsaking wrath," or wrath of abandonment and "biblical descriptors that serve to help us recognize when this kind of wrath is present," one of which he said was “a sensation toward homosexuality.”

    Drollinger wrote that he doesn't “believe America as a national entity, is presently subject to the forsaking wrath of God," while adding that “those individuals who are rebuked by God’s forsaking wrath are largely responsible for God’s consequential wrath on our nation.”

    They will also bring students back to Liberty University because they are cloaked in the blood.

    They will preach that the elderly should be willing to die for the economy, forgetting that putting wealth above all is a no-no.

    i guess their cardboard cutout has shitty aim, cuz I'm pretty sure that the trail of coffins is followed by wailing offspring, which would suggest that the hets are being mowed down along with the gays (Florida spring break evidently excepted...wait, what?)

    I can't get into your meme as I think "Easter" or spring equinox celebration is the most beautiful inspiring and wholesome of all the religious holidays. Where there is always hope of new life and rebirth after near suicide over winter death.

    Edit to add: it's true that some religions don't get it as they are into eternal suffering.and wailing over tribal persecution. Still: Happy Nowruz!
