    Holy Hitler ... Batman!

Top of the Page News . . .

    .

Yup ... That is the most pressing of problems we face in our nation as depicted over at the old stomping grounds.

    1)  If you're a Democrat, and if you want to see the Republicans as they are currently incarnated defeated, then pointing out the fever swamp of quasi-fascist ideology that animates the rightwing is absolutely essential.  I, for one, want the fact that one of the Republicans' featured "Young Guns" is an overt Nazi sympathizer to be front page news from now until the election is over.  And if that Nazi can weaken a powerful Republican like Cantor by painting him as unacceptably moderate to the Tea Party factions who are determined to take over the Republican this November, then so much the better.

The economic and religious fundamentalism that has fueled the rise of the Goldwater/Reagan Republicans has long been hidden by running candidates like the amiable Uncle Ronnie and the straight-shootin' "compassionate  conservative" George W. Bush.  I am delighted to see that the racism, intolerance and economic cruelty that are the true heart of the conservative movement are finally being exposed.  So I think emphasis on crazies like Iott is doing Democrats, and the country, a great service.

    2)  Josh Marshall shared a fair amount of his personal life with us at TPM over the years.  If he came from money, it wasn't apparent in any of his posts about his personal life.  Therefore, anyone can start a blog if they have the time and the wherewithal.  And, judging from the amount of time some bloggers and commenters spent at the Cafe', time should not be an issue.

In other words, if you don't like the content of a particular site, you're free to not visit it and to start your own blog.  Simply pissing on another site from the sidelines without offering a real alternative is the weakest form of criticism, IMO.  Josh Marshall has created a successful blog, and one he should be proud of in many respects.  If you can do better, do it.

    hahahahahaah

I hereby render unto Ducky the Dayly Blog Title of the Day at this here Dagblog site, given to all of him from all of me.

I love it when the repub leaders say:

Oh these are just examples of fringe thinking, this is not representative of our party.

Bullshit, these fringe elements pick up the repub mantle and run for office and are given funds from the RNC to do it.

    Thanks DD . . .

Yeah... Old Adolf really brings 'em out... doesn't he?

But there's another method in my madness if you'll take the time and read my comment below.

    Here's what I'm getting at . . .

Did anyone happen to see anything on the front page at the old stomping grounds about this information I posted last Saturday that I had found in the previous Friday's news-dump?

Maybe the PTB over there at the old stomping grounds have become so wrapped up in the swamp of the DC follies that information that is truly meaningful to millions of citizens just isn't considered to be worthy of the time and effort to promulgate as a top of the front page headline.

Nope. Some small potatoes guy out of Toledo gets free advertising for his campaign against Marcy Kaptur who, even though she made the infamous list of vulnerable incumbents should easily be able to stand on her own strong liberal-to-progressive record. Although now as reported by the progressive detractors at the National Review, that info about Iott seems to be a positive thing to the progressive detractors:

    House Races

Nothing like assisting the right to help fire up the mouth-breathing droolers more than they already are. We better hope that "the conventional wisdom" stands...

But my position still comes down to the fact that for some weird reason such positive issues as that of the health care clinics receiving their first installments on the original promise of this administration just doesn't garner the looky-loos that the old stomping ground is trying to attract to draw more traffic to the site. Business as usual.

It does tell me quite a bit about the issues seemingly most important to the blogging world considering the amount of response this blog here that we are in garnered here versus the amount of response my post garnered here at Dag.

Carry on and I'll just keep on keeping on... (in reference to the first link above of this information I posted last Saturday if you didn't take the time to go there).

In closing: It's time for me to kick back and enjoy a little Le Noise from Neil...

    Create... create... create... create... create...
    create...

    I'm sure quinn will approve.
