Is "Plumber Joe" Connected to Keating?

OK, this is hardly confirmed yet. But the rumors make me want to see some research done on this guy. Especially because his original story doesn't add up IMO.

From the blog of someone called Martin Eisenstadt:

If Steve Schmidt had any hair left, I hear he would have been pulling it out tonight. He reportedly screamed at John's debate prep team tonight (out of earshot of reporters, of course). "You idiots - he's related to Charles Keating... of the Keating Five scandal!"

Then "blueGA" over at KOS has a bit of followup ....

It is important to note that this is not an accusation, but a call for more thorough investigation of a person who injected himself right into McCain's campaign narrative. It seems like a perfect setup (from Fox's cameras catching the original Obama encounter right through his prominence in the debates). I want to know more about this guy!

Avoid demonstrations and any large gatherings of people;

Do not attempt to drive through roadblocks; and
