    REVOLVER IS 50!

    Revolver.jpg

The Beatles meant little to me in the eighth grade. hahaha

She Loves You Ya Ya Ya....?

What the hell does that mean?

    But Love, Love Me Do....

Well that was something else, to me anyway.

Stereo Williams from The Beast reminds us of Revolver.

    http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2016/08/05/the-beatles-revolver-turns-50-a-psychedelic-masterpiece-that-rewrote-the-rules-of-rock.html

And the Beatles just slayed me with this album.

It was all over for me anyway. I was 16 and I went nuts. I knew nothing about drugs and such, I just loved the music.

Taxman seemed to capitalistic to me, of course.

It gave me the same reaction as when those pricks sang about alimony.

    But Eleanor Rigby?

.....writing a sermon that no one will hear?

    Or Norwegian Wood. hahahaha

    Silly but...

    How about Good Day Sunshine?

You really do not have to be high to get the adrenalin going.

Finally, Got To Get You Into My Life

Whatever this album was, it was not Rock & Roll.

The Stones actually kept Rock & Roll afloat all these years.

The Beatles were doing something else.

So forget labeling this as Rock & Roll.

    THIS WAS THE BEATLES!

I have no idea what this means.

I just was caught by the Beast's essay.

We shall never see the likes of the Beatles again.

    HAPPY 50TH TO REVOLVER.

Hey Dick, did you miss my "In the News" piece?

Let's come back to Lennon: Tomorrow Never Knows, Rain (as single), She Said She Said, Dr. Robert, I'm Only Sleeping, his help getting Harrison properly psychedelicized & back-beated with Taxman before he got too ethnic...

How cool to take TNK and drop it into a satanic cult film 30 years later as a perfect fit (Our Lady Peace starts 1 minute in) - that all-peace Hindu yoga vibe can cut both ways, as Keith Richards noted post-Altamont. Once you open the doors of perception, all hell breaks loose...

And then some people thought Los Lobos could only do La Bamba.... (starts at 1:10)

Again, I apologize to you Peracles.

I should have put this as a comment on your blog.

Your first presentation here underlines how important music is to any film. It sets the stage. It sets the tone of the scene. It seems to give us some idea what the hell the characters are thinking.

Now Los Lobos....I had no idea. This is fun to watch and listen.

Peracles, this happened before your masthead nomination. hahahah

I just came upon this old post of mine.

You know, you are a nice guy.

You did not yell at me. You were humble. And you really show humility and I still do not understand why you waste your time here. You appear to come from a number of places.

    hahahahah

I should not laugh cause I really worry that there are no nice guys left. except for me.hhahahaha

Holidays left me berift of causes. hahahahah

Anyway, this was just a thought I had of late.

This is late but I have this favorite song. I think you are stuck inside of Mobile with the Memphis Blues Again:

I like Mobile. Even went there for my 0' birthday.

And I once got stuck a whole day hitchin' through Memphis - why no one would pick me up, can't say, but finally an exhausted guy driving cross-country tossed me the keys and said "you drive". I didn't even care he was headed the wrong way - I just wanted out of there.

    Hey Dick ...

August 5, 1966. I remember this day quite well. I was on a train traveling through the Ozarks at about 35 mph from KC to Memphis. It was 455 miles and it took over 14 hours due to the 71 stops to pick up and drop the mail and the chickens and pick up pigs along the way. Although it was about as exciting as having your wisdom teeth pulled, for a then 20 year old I wouldn't trade the educational experience for anything.

Ducky, this picture is a wonder!

Hell it could have been taken in the '20's or '30's.

And the story line about chickens and pigs could be ascribed to so called third world countries.

    AMAZING.

    Duck Day?

You know you got me thinkin' Peracles.

I hereby render unto Ducky the Dayly Pic of the Day Award as well as the Dayly Historical Remembrance of the Day Award for this here Dagblog Site, given to all of Ducky from all of me.

    hahahahah

    The Dayly Duck?

    Dick ...

    I'm flattened ...

    Errr... I mean flattered.

I think you would like to add this to your music list.
