THE BEST SATIRE
Chris Hayes just performed the best satire concerning these ‘riots’ we have witnessed lately that I have ever viewed on cable news TV.
Like Frank Luntz tells the repubs every day:
It is not what you say, but how you say it.
I have checked into FOX News from time to time over the last week with regard to its coverage of the recent mayhem in Baltimore.
O’Reilly is the worst.
REALLY.
When everything turned peaceful Billo went to his reporter on the street.
Wait a minute, I see a guy in a hoody with a mask.
The reporter kept attempting to underline the change in attitude on the street.
The reporter was attempting to tell Billo about the citizens who were standing in front of the police line in order to defend those cops.
The reporter was attempting to tell Billo that looting had not only stopped but that citizens were attempting to clean up the mess made on Sunday and Monday.
But O’Reilly would only underline the absent Black fathers and the Hip hop and the hoodies and the lack of parental supervision and the lawlessness of the ‘Black Culture’ and…

Here is the O'Reilly confrontation with his on the street reporter.
I do not think I made this clear.
I put the link on twice, just in case tech problems arose!
I have a worry that this reporter will be fired soon, but then again, his resume will protect him.

Ramona has a fine blog about mayhem vs. protest.
We cannot countenance anarchy.
But Chris Hayes, one of my favorite anchors, really makes a point about media coverage.
Please view this segment of last night's show.
As far as the anarchy we have witnessed lately:
But let us be level headed and even handed about all the terror that is perpetrated upon Americans every goddamn day!
And this terror is being propagated by the rich and powerful.
Comments
I saw that on my face book feed early this morning.
I posted this on another thread just now but it really needs to be here.
Is the only thing that has been holding the GOP together is Koch money? Each one of these people running are regional in their appeal. The media can stick lipstick on them and the Koch bros can buy them air time, but will their messages sell outside of their own regional hate. Some of these people don't have all that good numbers in poling in their regions either.
I read a comment on the internet stating that Bernie Sanders has a 137% support in Vermont. 37% coming from New Hampshire.

I was watching a clip from CNN's Burnet where she kept using the word 'thug' while interviewing a Councilman on the streets of Baltimore.
He said:
WHY NOT JUST USE THE WORD N&^%&R?

Good for him for calling her on that.

I would like to see more of that pointing out the dog whistles. Even though the Mayor used the words, it still needed to be pointed out.
Thanks for the link.

Sad and hilarious.
I went to Fox briefly yesterday evening. Ha nifty was the anchor. The reporters on the street were disappointed that there was no riot. One repeatedly interrupted Elijah Cummings as the Representative encouraged people to go home after the curfew. Fox wanted to know why Cummings was staying out post curfew. Cummings explained that he wanted people to go home. Cummings also noted that he lived 6 blocks from the corner where they were standing. People went home Fox was disappointed.
This was followed by a Hannity interview with one of the Gray family lawyers. Hannity was all over the place complaining about thugs. The Fox anchor asked the lawyer heard that Gray had spinal surgery prior to his injury. The lawyer was unaware of any surgery and it seems there is no record of any surgical procedure. Fox did not get to scare their viewers to the desired limits.
I did not see it live but Geraldo got in the face of a protester who obviously had no love for Fox,

The rumors about a prior spinal cord injury and car accident are untrue, as the Baltimore Sun reports. It's no surprise that FOX is helping to spread them around.

Do you know that Geraldo still has not found any of Al Capone's loot?
Surgery my ass!
Thanks for this. I could not have handled Hannity right now!

Thanks, Richard. This segment by Chris Hayes is, simply, brilliant.

This was really something!
And I like Chris, I just never expected something like this.

Oh I have to add this last thought.
Stewart could not have pulled this off with authority like Hayes.
It would not have worked.
And there should be a Pulitzer Prize awarded to Mr. Hayes.
I do not know the rules with regard this award and how it is awarded.
But I think I know this:
Chris would give away the money prize to his devoted staff.
This is sooo damn gooooooood.
I admit, I am jealous that I had not spent enough time to really publish my own thoughts on this subject, even though I have attempted to do so over the last seven years.
But damn, this video is extreme.
And I love extreme when the extreme is not a lie.
Sorry, just some thoughts.

JUST WHAT THE TRUTH IS, I CANNOT SAY ANYMORE:
Just an after thought, as it were.

GAYS RESPONSIBLE FOR BALTIMORE MAYHEM.
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2015/04/30/bill-flores-baltimore-riots-_n_7180868.html?utm_hp_ref=politics&ir=Politics
I just cannot let this gem go.
Texas Congressman Bill Flores actually made this statement.
Members of the GOP as well as many appearing on FFOX have blamed the President, the Governor of Maryland (as well as the former Governor), the Mayor of Baltimore, Liberals in general, Black Culture and a number of other folks for this mess.
But Gays?

Hufpo and their click bait. LOL...
by trkingmomoe on Thu, 04/30/2015 - 1:50pm
I have said this before, I am always amazed by the ability of Conservatives who support whites who oppose government overreach but demonize blacks who oppose government abuse.

Here is a great link from the New Yorker I just found about White riots.

Well of course ... Isn't it obvious? Most arson fires in homes are caused by flaming homo-sexuals. Just as most crossfire gun deaths are caused by cross-dressers and earthquakes caused by Eartha Kitt.
by MrSmith1 on Fri, 05/01/2015 - 8:13am
While I am still on the front page Mr. Smith, I witnessed this video on Fox recently and others or at least one other wrote about Geraldo.
This kid confronting Rivera just caught me with my jaw open:
http://mediamatters.org/blog
If this kid does not get his own internet video program, all is lost. hahahaha
Geraldo is just a front for corporate bullshite.
I could go on and on but I do not feel like getting into obscenities.
ha
Even tho I am so damn obscene.
