Sen. Elizabeth Warren Introduces Her First Stand Alone Bill - Bank on Students Loan Fairness Act

Yesterday, May 8, 2013, Sen. Warren-D introduced her first bill in the Senate for students loans at the same rate at the Fed Window that banks get. 0.75%.   I will let her explain the bill in her own words.

Chris Hayes yesterday covered this well.  On his web page is this article and graph that shows how high tuition has risen since the 1980's.  http://tv.msnbc.com/2013/05/09/the-tuition-is-too-damn-high/   Also Huffington has also taken up the call with this featured front page where Chris Hayes explains that Sallie Mae is double dipping in profits from students. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/05/09/sallie-mae-student-loans_n_3247979.html    We have a looming crises coming in defaults on student loans.  Sen. Warren seems to be trying to get in front of it.  She is asking for grassroots support on this.

I wish to see this woman as President of the United States someday or at least settle for her as VP.

    She is wonder!

    Better than "Benghazi" Hillary?

You know Resistance, Benghazi is like some instrument used in a mystery TV show.

    This humiliation will go nowhere.

    I like Hillary.

I would vote for her without any hesitance in some election.

But I tell you, look at this Warren woman!

She is clean, she has a vision, she is the future of this Democratic Party.

She knows WHO THE DAMN ENEMY IS!

    I like her.

    I also like/love Amy Klobuchar.

I was reading her daddy's sports columns when I was a lad.

There are terrific women out there achieving grand stations in our political systems.

I look forward (even though I am not sure how long I will be witnessing anything) to an new era.

We have had a female Speaker and I feel assured we will have a female as President of these United States of America.

But Hillary is a good person and has been a fine Senator and a fine Secretary of State.

And the repubs have one goal in mind.

If you like Hillary you are a communist or a Jihadist or an enemy of these United States of America.

This entire Libyan investigation will go down without any recognition whatsoever over the next couple of years.

Except to underline the fact that Issa issa crook and an enemy of the United States of America. And all those repubs who back Issa, are paid or blackmailed sombitches. ha

    Oh

I just underlined why I do not need to write another blog.

    hahahahahahh

I agree Richard, I have always liked Ms. Warren and her ideas. Imagine our economy if the peasant class was given the opportunity to borrow at the low rates, just as the bankers were given? Able to pay off their old debt load, with it's crippling interest rates, consumers would have had more money in their hands, to stimulate the economy, rather than asking the self serving bastards in DC for a hand out. ......Tax revenues would have increased, as this consumer driven economy, would have provided necessary jobs, to meet the demands of consumers......... Instead we put people on welfare, only to kick them off........ Reminding me; we take better care of migratory birds; once a water hole is established you can't just dry up the water resources.......... This country needs a full employment act; otherwise the plutocracy can manipulate the labor market adversely; all the while they get cheap money to sustain them as they strengthen their choke hold over labor.

Full Employment Act 1946, Humphrey-Hawkins Full Employment Act 1978,  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Full_Employment_Act  Full Employment Act 2013 anyone?

Good rant.  These ladies have courage to take on the enemy too.  The Benghazi Chant is backfiring.  The repeal of ACA will also backfire next year.  Now I am looking forward to your next blog.  I listened to NPR this evening and they were talking about the fellow who helped free the kidnapped girl in Cleveland.  They said the MSM fails to interview people who are poor or quote them in their articles.  They thought his interviews were priceless, very good and honest.  Your blogs are the way most train of thought flows through our heads including the off color words.

That guy really is a hero and like you say most folks like him are ignored by the press.

And he really is a good, good guy!
