Trump: "My lie insults your intelligence? A feature, not a bug"

Ever since Deadbeat Donald advanced his demonstrably bullshit evasions around his  "Megan was on the rag" tweet I have puzzled over how to understand his followers willingness eagerness to believe palpable, flaming, lies.

In a recent instance where a Trump follower emulates the maestro, purporting to ask us to believe that "Jew-Ess-A "chanted with vigorous hostility at a Trump rally press pen was NOT meant in any way to refer to Jewish people.  You really must read the article to fully appreciate his chutzpah.

‘Jew-S-A’ Chanter From Trump Rally: I Was Just Using A Spanish Accent!http://talkingpointsmemo.com/livewire/george-lindell-jew-s-a-spanish-acc...

The fact is, when one of these clownish lies is advanced, it is not proposed for the purpose of changing anyone's actual appraisal of the facts.

It is a transactional assertion, meant fully as a meta communication:

"You are such a toady, I need not trouble myself for verisimilitude--I'm going to lie blatantly and if you do not pretend to believe me I will take it as a cassus belli."

    WWE dialog, in other words.

It's like the way an abusive parent demands  that his child pretend to believe and respect him, or be punished.

Blatant lying as a dominance tactic?  Makes sense, given the liars and bullies I've known.

Yeah, it's the full bitch slap.

The prototype of these WWE  "are you calling me a liar?" transactions was Trump's post Megan Kelly insult assertion that anyone disbelieving his defense was a "pervert".
