I'm still idealistic, and I'm going to do my best to stay that way, but the repubs are really pressing my buttons. (is there a REALLY derogatory word to use for Republicans that isn't actually swearing, but is really, really offensive to them -I guess I should know that, being a registered one, but I never cared what the left called us until now- I want to start using it...loudly and frequently)
I believe in an America where you can have an election that is framed by issues and honest disagreement over ploicy. I'm horrified by the America where a candidate is so afraid of losing that he and many of his supporters are willing to lie, cheat, steal, slander, fabricate, terrify, and a list so long of negative things that would take up a tree's worth of paper to finish...

1st up...rather than being a registered Republican voting Democratic, I will be changing my party affilliation. 2nd, I will be visiting conservative blogs and announcing what I've done and encouraging others to do the same. 3rd, I've been a little nervous about "coming out" to my conservative friends...I will be making the big announcement today...4th, there will be a bumper sticker on my car, a pin on my rather ample chest, and a lawn sign on my yard by the end of the week. 5. I will be contacting my local Democratic party people to see what I can do locally. More ideas? Let's go people! For those who aren't already, let's put our actions where our words are...
