    WILL WITHOUT GRACE

Well thank you so very much.

You are still going to hell you know, it is just that they might give you a nicer room!

    (Hack, Ep 2)

Goodnews, it appears he still has feelings in all of his extremities.

(6:05 PM CDT, GB V CLEVELAND; CBS)

I wished to simply discuss the senility of George Will. Hahahaha

I have written about old George before.

    http://dagblog.com/reader-blogs/will-disgrace-14784

If you recall I felt that George Will, who began his career with Buckley years ago at the National Review, had three different faces.

FIRST he might seem reasonable. You know, national debt is of import and of primary import to the good Ole UsofA.

SECOND ole George might seem conservative to people who have the idea that crippled people and the uninsured and the downtrodden should get some help; a meal here and a diagnosis there and like that.

THIRD, there is the George Will who is nuts!

It is kind of like when you first listen to Curly Rand's daddy, you will hear messages that underline the immediate issue concerning debt and fiscal whatever and....and then ole Ron begins talking about the gold standard?

    http://mediamatters.org/blog/2013/10/24/george-will-whitewashes-racism-from-pro-segrega/196578

At the national level, the most potent third-party candidates have had vivid personalities and burning issues: Theodore Roosevelt in 1912, taming corporations; Strom Thurmond in 1948, asserting regional grievances relating to race; George Wallace in 1968, venting class and cultural resentments; Ross Perot in 1992, shrinking the federal deficit. Sarvis is more bemused than burning.

Will was writing about the Virginia Gubernatorial contest that will be decided in two weeks or so. (here)

    Okay, where do I begin?

Well George was attempting to diss (I do not think the proper term is dish; I think it is diss) the repub running for Virginia's highest office (remember when the highest office in Virginia was the Presidency?).

This is an echo from last year when George Will would attack Obama and the dems constantly but always had room to discuss the sins or the incompetence or the ...whatever of the repub Presidential campaign.

Mr. Will begins his most recent attack on a repub candidate by quoting....who else? But Buckley. Hahahaha

Then he goes into his regular rant and comes up with this aside? Which in fact attacks the entire Civil Rights revolution of the 60's by dissing it as some cultural values problem.

    Hahahahahahahahahahah

George Will cannot help himself. I mean, he can transcend into some Buchanan bullshite with no problem whatsoever.

Oh, and by the way, the entire Civil Rights movement involved cultural issues.

    Hahahahahah

I did this before but I still would like to put forth my idea about how the discussion with the Washpo editorial staff went with ole George on this one.

Editor: Say George, how ya doin?

    Will: Just fine Sam.

Editor: Say George, I was looking at that seventh throwaway paragraph in your recent proffer that kind of disses? The entire Civil Rights Movement that is now 50 years old!

Will: Well that is your opinion!

Editor: Yeah, well it is actually everybody's opinion on the editorial staff as well as the opinion of every person calling himself a minority in this nation as well as all persons in this nation who believe in Truth, Justice & the American Way!

Will: As you well know Frank (is that your name, I forget) I am given no restraint from this newspaper with regard to my opinions.

Editor: Well you have a nice day too Will.

    LOOKWHOELSEISMAD

Yes, I know Michele Bachmann is from Minnesota and Steve King is from Iowa, but all this proves is that in the 150 or so years since the Civil War, the vituperative Confederate agenda of anti-Americanism has managed to spread its irresistible redneck poison into benighted pockets across the country. Kind of like Waffle House.

Lately I have read scores of articles on racism in this country.

    The War of Northern Aggression.

Oh the Civil War had nothing to do with slavery.

Why can Blacks say the 'N' word and not Whites?

We have to stop lazy Negroes from voting. (ibid)

The Tea Party is nothing but the new Confederacy.

I can go on and on but this is enough for now.

Buckley wrote racist crap in the 50's and then he had some epiphany(ies?) and he began castigating the John Birch Society and the KKK and the nutso racist fascist pricks who were entering his 'party'.

George Will should not just throw racist crap as asides in his intellectual/ant-intellectual rants!

    The end.

    POST POST

It is only ten months since the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting.

    TEN FRICKIN MONTHS!

And here is a Salon article noting that over 28,000 people have died as a result of gun violence since October 2012!

In my blogs over the years concerning gun violence I kept citing government stats indicating 33,000 or more incidents of deaths related to guns annually.

It includes, frankly, 28,177 more people than it should. And most of those 28,177 people don’t even register on our public radar as we become disgustingly numbed to the everyday prevalence of gun violence in our communities.

    Well here it is!

Somebody or some organization is keeping track of these deaths.

The old government stats that I would cite were five years old for chrissakes.

I was not even going to write about this, but since I decided to write about insanity; I figured why not?

READ THE DAMN PIECE AT SALON!

This is not a subject that I was going to get into today!

Have you been watching African Americans Many Rivers To Cross?  It is really good about slavery.  You can see it here if you haven't seen it yet,  I don't know how long it will be up so don't wait long to watch part one of six.

    http://www.pbs.org/wnet/african-americans-many-rivers-to-cross/video/the-black-atlantic/

Maybe G.Will might learn something about racism if he watches this.

I have my DVR set to record it this week for part 2.  I want the kids to see this so I am saving it.

There is a companion book for the  PBS series available in print and Kindle format.

The election of Barack Obama has truly exposed the racism. Black Republicans are too cowardly to address the issue. Multiple people have told me that the recent attempt to wreck the country's economy, made them come to grips with the essential racist nature of the Republican Party.. There appeal is limited to an angry, mean-pirated racist group of people.

That is so true here in Florida.  Many feel the party is off it's rocker and they can't vote for the republicans anymore.

Well you have to admit that the repubs offer much in terms of money and support for Black repubs.

    See, we aint racist.

How equalitarian of George to condemn both the republican and the democrat and suggest Virginians vote for the third party. I'm sure its just a coincidence that the democrat appears to be winning by a fairly large margin. He'd surely write the same column if the republican was winning.

Maybe that is what Mr. Will is getting at:

Whatever happens, it aint my damn fault. hahaha

Although Buckley supposedly abandoned white supremacy in the sixties, some of the things National Review said about South Africa in the eighties make me wonder if he really changed.

There is much truth in what you say.

And how more overt can racism be than being an apologist for South Africa in those days!
