I appreciate your insight and point of view. I am also a firm believer in free speech as my mother and I fled imminent execution in 1986 to come to the U.S. I believe we have a moral obligation to look at history and call out any prejudicial act or rhetoric for what it is. Analogies serve as a strong reminders for all of us as human beings to be vigilant as to not allow a repeat of such atrocities--as we are witnessing so much even today. Hyperbole is sometimes necessary to make such a point. A bigot is a bigot whether he wears a suit, a uniform, a garb, a hat and so on.... in any corner of this world.

I always believed that Donald Trump was a douchebag, and that this whole birther movement is shameful. I've also come to believe that Nazi analogies by folks on the right or the left are inappropriate, and betray what amounts to ignorance or worse about Nazis. But that's just me. It's a free country, thank G-d.
