Antonia Juhasz has a new book out about how awful it all is. She was the most assiduous at reporting on the jostling for Iraqi oil contracts back in the day.

MSM has a very short attention span; we don't hear anything about Iraq unless it's a mention of a car bomb killing X people; pretty cynical, as Malaki has closed out foreign journalists, and there are plenty of people being killed in protests: we hear almost nothing, so we can pretend Obama has brought the 100,000 troops home.

The people and the flora and the fauna hurt by this disaster seem to have been forgotten as far as MSM.

Of course the repubs pretend it never happened. And of course, they must lie about how Americans would save a buck or more a gallon by legislating complete deregulation of the industry.
