Au contraire, I see evidence your message sunk in in Brooklyn and other hipster environs late last year, and it seems pie is the new cupcake; has seriously been trending up since then. Cupcakes (and Ellen, I might add,) seem pretty passe, so mainstream.

In a video released today Al Qaeda spokesman Adam Gadahn encourages terrorists to use American gun shows to arm themselves for potential Mumbai-style attacks. Gadahn's video laid out a new tactic for Al Qaeda to continue their murderous terrorist agenda:

America is absolutely awash with easily obtainable firearms. You can go down to a gun show at the local convention center and come away with a fully automatic assault rifle, without a background check, and most likely without having to show an identification card. So what are you waiting for?....

AL-QAIDA has released a new video, apparently made after the death of leader Osama bin Laden, calling for individual acts of jihad on ''enemy soil''.

The two-part video - released by the US-based monitoring service SITE late Friday - does not appear to feature Saif al Adel, bin Laden's replacement as al-Qa’ida leader.

However, among a number of other al-Qaida leaders filmed are Ayman al Zawahiri, the long serving number two to bin Laden, and Adam Gadahn, the most wanted American in the terror organization, who urges followers to target prominent public figures in government, industry and the media....
