When the argument is made that there is no difference between Republicans and Democrats, examples like this negate that point of view. Republicans are also up to their old tricks of attempting to suppress voting by minority groups who favor the Democrats. The war on women and unions by the GOP is going full force. The media appears to be asleep at the wheel on these actions by the GOP.

It looks like they're getting a little help from outsiders who can't stand what's happening there. There's a recall rally there this Saturday. and I'm watching several Michigan blogs that are working to keep this story alive. We just can't downplay what's happening in Michigan. It's no exaggeration to say it's being taken over by private interests. (I wish it were.)

You are right about the brown shirts and jackboots, that is how Hitler took over Germany. I won't be surprised if that town resorts to torches and pitchforks. There is a point when a community is forced into it.
