It is interesting. One thing I'd say might, and this would take some research, help explain French outperformance is the unwinding of a lot of complex holding company structures here. The French used to employ interlocking holding companies to dissuade takeovers. In the 90s, many of these were done away with, which increasd m&a activity and, likely, stock returns.

Don't mean to be so flip after all your hard work. I'm just really sick of getting worthwhile ammunition like this only to watch it go nowhere. It's that word "socialist", I think. It slams more doors...
