There is a public health issue here which has little to do with the PO but everything to do with the PO.

If you really wished to spread a terrible disease what better place to start than the PO.

This is a horrific example of how America is being turned into a third world country ruled by corporations that clearly do have an expendable view of the majority of the American people. Right now to these corporate rules we are expendable. Jobs? Pish Healthcare? Phewey. They don't need healthcare. Education? Get rid of it. They would rather the educated came from countries that have cheaper labor. Worker health and safety? Not if it costs us a dime. The American people are feeling the effects of being pitted against the workers all over the world. Our country is in decline in every way.

While I agree that we need to become more united as a working class the efforts to kill and weaken the unions and all organizations that strengthen our voices has been very organized.

We on the other hand have little leadership to guide us and the most organized efforts we've seen of late have been in WI and OH in response to political abuse. And there is the real fact that people are struggling for survival which means fewer are paying attention to politics and are likely to be more reactive because they are in real pain. Without serious leadership to guide them... they are powerless.

And as you suggest that people try to appeal to President Obama... that goose is cooked imo. He has passed us by for the agenda he thinks will help him win the next election. And every day from where I sit is looks more likely he will lose. So, okay for now it looks like we are totally screwed. As a parent of a young daughter in college I wish there was some other reality to see and I have to hope that this is the darkness before some kind of dawn.
