There is something very different about quickly traveling from beautiful spot to beautiful spot versus immersing yourself in the journey.

Jealous in an entirely pleasant way.

Sat, 10 Sep 2011 06:35:08 +0000 kgb999 comment 133840 at http://dagblog.com Love, love, love The 5 Point http://dagblog.com/comment/133839#comment-133839
In reply to I should say that the motto

Love, love, love The 5 Point we were there for dinner and drinks after Bumbershoots last Monday!

I really miss the Firehouse, that was my favorite place for years, the greatest bands came to the Firehouse, and I miss the OffRamp although I think some incarnation of it remains. I worked there during the late 80's early '90's while at the U. That place was fun and of course that is where I got my first taste of Nirvana, just before Subpop produced that first single. Kurt was a mere 16, he couldn't even drink, and I never could figure out how they legally allowed him into the club! But I didn't ask questions, it was probably the coolest place I ever worked, I knew it even then. Suddenly the music exploded and we'd been listening to those bands for a year or so before they hit it big, Soundgarden, PealJam, Nirvana, etc.

Sat, 10 Sep 2011 06:27:52 +0000 tmccarthy0 comment 133839 at http://dagblog.com I should say that the motto http://dagblog.com/comment/133837#comment-133837
In reply to now i'm thinking of all of

I should say that the motto of Five Points is one of my favorites: Alcoholics Serving Alcoholics Since 1929.

Sat, 10 Sep 2011 06:02:43 +0000 Elusive Trope comment 133837 at http://dagblog.com now i'm thinking of all of http://dagblog.com/comment/133836#comment-133836
In reply to I'd forgotten you went to

now i'm thinking of all of the seattle haunts. owl n thistle, alibi room, the pink room, the tractor tavern, george and dragon, the red door, the dubliner, murphy's, and the infamous and wonderous dive Five Points

Sat, 10 Sep 2011 05:58:51 +0000 Elusive Trope comment 133836 at http://dagblog.com I'd forgotten you went to http://dagblog.com/comment/133835#comment-133835
In reply to as a western washington

I'd forgotten you went to WWU, I love Bellingham, that town is fantastic.
