Its too bad the Robber Barons didn't have today's GOP message machine to support them. I recall the income tax when first written affected only the top 1%, now the top 1% pay the least as a percent of income, and wage earner centric SS taxes bring as much revenue in as all the income taxes paid to the feds.

Two things to consider in relation to Ryan's whine about "Class War" on Sunday FAUX TV:

1.) This is an assault that was launched thirty years ago as supply-side, trickle-down Reaganomics. It can't really become "Class War" until we start fighting back.

2.) What we formerly called "Robber Barons" at the start of the last century are now called "Job Creators" by Ryan and the Republicans.

Glad to add a little clarity to the debate.
