As for dag's traffic, many of the hits you were seeing before came from automated web bots. I suspect that someone was manipulating google ads for profit because at some point, google booted us from its ad network--no reason given. Soon after, the bots went away.

Dagblog's human traffic has been fairly consistent, though it's down a little from it's peak a year ago. We get from 500 to 1,000 unique visitors per day, about 20,000 per month. Some posts do get picked up by google news or other sources, and a few go viral. These posts may be read by thousands.

WHAT THE F&*K IS THAT?

Look when things were going well I could grab 1500 or even 2900 hits.

But I usually can scrape together a hundred--three hundred on a good day if I am using the proper software!

So that does not represent 'tens'....that represents at least scores.

Anyway back at the subject at hand...

I am too lazy to grab links but it turns out that Congresspersons (remember when it was just Congressmen? I mean it was shorter and to the point and there were no pant suit jokes and...) are taking bribes in one form or another on both sides of the aisle--they all get inside info and make millions and then smile and then yell about the bankruptcy of the public morality and...oh who cares?

Issa will just take short cuts and author bills that build grand highways in front of his real estate holdings.

But back again to the TRUTH.

Well the truth is that the repubs will do nothing because they wish America to fail, they wish the dems to fail and they wish for Americans to fail so that they may receive tens of votes in the next election.
