His handwriting is like a preschooler and got fed up being raked over the coals for it. In Florida you have to be on grade level in writing and reading in order to pass to the next grade. So this year every night he has to read for a half hour and then right a "reflection " of what he read. While the rest of the class is still working their way through "Captain Underpants" books he is reading "The Chronicles of Narnia". He received a D on his progress report for his reflections. That up set him. So while he was at "gifted" that he attends every Tuesday where he is bused to, he banged out during computer time his reflection of the first half of "The Silver Chair." He had his gifted teacher sign it to verify that it was his work and turned it in to his third grade teacher when he returned to school. Her reaction to this was priceless at parent/teacher night. I don't think she quiet knows how to read him. LOL Your Hobart story is closer to reality then you think.
