We're always trying to outdo one another, whether in knowledge, wit, eloquence, argument, or even rhyme. Everyone wants the last word, the irrefutable point, the devastating cut. That's fine, I think. That's what makes it fun and inspires us to communicate effectively. That's what makes us click back to a day-old post to see if anyone responded.

But the real prize, in my opinion, is the rarest of achievements: to make people think. Your piece made me think. That's what I liked about it.

Fri, 30 Mar 2012 22:43:00 +0000 Michael Wolraich comment 151849 at http://dagblog.com Fishing and Scandinavian folk http://dagblog.com/comment/151833#comment-151833
In reply to Yeah, but that's Minnesota -

Fishing and Scandinavian folk songs

(with apologies to Mr. Day)

Fri, 30 Mar 2012 16:25:11 +0000 Michael Wolraich comment 151833 at http://dagblog.com This is all too confusin? for http://dagblog.com/comment/151832#comment-151832
In reply to It was funny, actually. Israel knows very well Iran is far from any nuclear threat capability, and even if the have facilities, a few bunker busters can seal up any entrances. So what does it gain? Iran's letting IAEA inspect its facilities. There's no real progress.
