I wrote some post about the blind guy who shot himself in the foot and the issue before the court was whether or not the victim could keep his guns.

The court kind of said:

THAT'S ONCE!

With the idea that three strikes and you are out...or maybe even two strikes.

And here the 'expert' got himself shot dead!

I don't know anymore.

I mean can I keep a ground to air missile in my apartment for protection or sport?

The NRA actually hopes that all citizens have the opportunity to keep machine guns?

I was just watching this series about Chicago cops and a parolee was charged with wearing body armor.

Maybe we all need body armor?

This is beyond race.

I mean we are speaking of the human race and weapons of mass destruction.

Can't recall any bad incidents with blacks in 2 1/2 years in DC, only positive.

We used to congregate out in Logan Circle where everyone would walk their dog or sit around and yack, and then some idiot city planner decided to close off the circle for remodeling, and after 8 months or so, the meeting place and mood was dead.

I have two nephews who are gun nuts, but who are otherwise reasonable people (even if they are Republican/Libertarians). They've told me how the fear of Obama taking away guns (a fear they don't share) has led to the increase in ammunition sales, making the ammunition more expensive and causing a bit of a vicious circle (because some people are buying ammunition now just because they see the prices going up and are convinced that the prices are going to keep going up and/or is evidence that Obama is trying to take their guns away).

That Caller article was something else, for sure. Also a bit of a nasty reminder of what and who we're dealing with. Truly child-level reasoning there.
