My reaction, too. Seems like a very skewed perspective for a UN guy, like there's something personal going on in the mix.

Yes, sounds awful. But do we end up here with a lotta high school football coaches being made equivalent with Dr. Mengele? All hurt the same, no matter any intent to help? Any other priorities, Mr. Special Rapporteur on Torture? If not, things are looking pretty good overall around the world?

Weird,

My daughter's class is filled with kids on the spectrum, and I've never heard of this "treatment" (my daughter has other learning issues unrelated to the spectrum but I'm tuned into this stuff). It sounds just absolutely awful. I do confess, however, that my tongue is firmly in my cheek in asserting that thank heavens the United Nations is monitoring American kids with autism.

Tongue out--UN, stay away from my kid.
