I too felt the same way about the Beatles, ever since I watched them on the Ed Sullivan Show and for a long time did not appreciate the Rolling Stones.

One time I played a Grand Funk LP 33 rpm and accidentally had it on 45 rpm; the beat reminded me of some of the best disco music at the time.

Another good song is Steppenwolfs "Earsplittinloundenboomer?"

I was in a barracks at an Air Force Base. We discovered that if you were to lie on the floor with a good headset on; that song would make you feel like you were levitating off the floor.

Gimme Shelter....I heard it first at age 19 and I could not believe the sound.

I am still a Beatle's fan since Rubber Soul; I was angry at the Stones for some reason but this song resonated like nothing I had ever heard or would ever hear.

Can you really compare this to Sinatra?
