It is a long read but still as concise and comprehensive a recap of the economics and politics of race in the US as is possible. I cannot imagine how more could be said in fewer words.

I wish I could live long enough to see a nation where We, the People, share the common bond of being 'people' without the need any longer to be broken into groups based on the differences of ethnicity, gender, etc. rather than the common bond of humane humanity.

Interesting and informative article. I do think the first paragraph does not represent the core of the report - but this may be a good thing as I believe many will read it simply because they are expecting it to focus on how Obama is responsible instead of a factually based and thought provoking historical recap.

Ah, but the 'sins of our fathers' I fear will ensure that time doesn't arrive until long past my expiration date.
