Emma, the NY piece is exactly what is needed. Simplistic and cites the specifics. I only wish it was expanded to cover the other issues listed too.

The problem, IMO, with this type of article is that it is one person's opinion crafted with their own personal bias and priorities as the foundation of the review.

Exactly right, which is why when I followed the links and saw they were HuffPo and The Nation, I delinked and went in search of the actual platform:

and here is the opposition's:

Next, I will try to find critiques by each party of the other's platform.

The problem, IMO, with this type of article is that it is one person's opinion crafted with their own personal bias and priorities as the foundation of the review.

Of course, that is also true of the readers mindset when reading and commenting on this type of missive.

However, I do think that these offerings don't serve any well and believe that better benefits would be delivered if it was written as a tutorial only without including the author's thoughts of right, wrong or indifference.
