Assuming it will continue or even improve is foolish at best.

So the pertinent actions(s) to to prepare for this situation by decoupling one's self from this system as much as possible.

So, what is the average resident of this land need to do to start working towards achieving what's needed? Is there no value in people changing out their vehicles for others such as the Prius or others that are less guzzling of fuels and less polluting? Isn't changing small items such as light bulbs a good idea?

I know here there are some who are erecting small windmills (wowsa, do we have wind) to provide power for domiciles. I think this is a good thing.

I understand that implementing these things is not enough, but what else do we need to be doing and/or can we do to, at least, slow it down - even perhaps repair some of the damage?

What I do not understand is that everyone who brings up these concerns is labeled a tree hugger or a green nut!

In the Arctic the melt just means that for several months anyway, the capitalists can more easily float their goods and oil companies are attempting to dig into the resources up there!
