But presumably by the 1930's the use of raw eggs in fountain drinks was not part of an "egg cream"--if it ever was. Putting eggs in fountain drinks goes back to the 1800's.

As far as "Malted Milk" vs. "Malted Milk Shakes", the latter apparently developed after ice cream was added to malted milk drinks---which is what I remember as a kid. Personally, adding a raw egg to a fountain drink doesn't sound so appetizing. I don't know to where any of these drinks can be found today---certainly not at Neiman Marcus, where Ann Romney and I lunch.

At any rate, I grew up in southern Ohia. So please enlighten.

Mon, 01 Oct 2012 23:28:10 +0000 Oxy Mora comment 165848 at http://dagblog.com The dynamic duo of Romney and http://dagblog.com/comment/165843#comment-165843
In reply to Romney, you want one egg or two?

The dynamic duo of Romney and Ryan would drive the entire economy into a nose dive as long as it benefits the richest Americans. Income inequality is endangering the Middle Class and making paupers of us all who don’t have those millions upon millions of dollars. Read more about the role of Romney’s riches in this election and the power of his sacred undergarments at http://dregstudiosart.blogspot.com/2012/05/mitt-romneys-magic-mormon-underwear.html The working class of our country can’t AFFORD to allow this election to be bought and sold!

Mon, 01 Oct 2012 23:02:02 +0000 Brandt Hardin comment 165843 at http://dagblog.com
