His other beefs were our failure to abandon Israel, which we shouldn't do, the presence of our troops in Saudi Arabia( hardly a crime, and we were in Saudi Arabia's "sovereign territory" with the consent of the sovereign) and that we were an obstacle to a "global Islamic state". (I don't suppose you sympathize with that goal).

http://www.fas.org/irp/world/para/ubl-fbis.pdf pg.136, 146

These are the reasons, not the seventy interventions, certainly not the anti-Communist interventions, since Bin Laden doesn't like Communism any more than J. Edgar Hoover did.

Arab terrorism is the responsibility of Arabs, not Americans, the ends as well as the means are immoral, and jihadism is itself a form of imperialism, as the intent is to force other countries into obedience, the same as the U.S. and other imperial powers have done.

Tue, 16 Oct 2012 15:20:05 +0000 Aaron Carine comment 167364 at http://dagblog.com I believe the title on your http://dagblog.com/comment/167338#comment-167338
In reply to Memo to the Presidential Candidates: Cut the Warfare State, Not the Welfare State

I believe the title on your fine post assures that you will only preach to the choir with it. Why bring up "the welfare state" at all? If you didn't, you might convince some who don't support a "welfare state" that Romney's military proposals are folly.

Tue, 16 Oct 2012 12:56:27 +0000 artappraiser comment 167338 at http://dagblog.com
