I was uplifted by these recent appearances by My President. The guy is hot; the guy is showing no fear; and as long as he stays away from his female employees.....hahahahah

There should be no bargain. The great thing about the automatic cuts in the current law is that they fall so heavily on the Pentagon and not on Social Security and Medicare. While cuts of this size, implemented now, are not optimum policy, I'd say that it's preferable to any deal that raises the Social Security and Medicare eligibility ages. Republicans have to be forced to realize that Democrats can live with the cuts agreed to during the last, idiotic debt ceiling debate (that shouldn't have been a debate at all) but that we can't live with allowing the government to break its long-term promises to taxpayers.

I think we're too busy post-analyzing the election to prepare for the next round of attacks and policy - unfortunately. No use debating now, time to make sure the Grand Bargain doesn't go down so bad.
